Basically I have ongoing problems with driveshafts dating back to when I had those half tonne 16" wheels on the car.
I've rebuilt the suspension over the past few days and when I took the central hub nut off of the car I thought it was weird that the "threaded part" of the driveshaft didn't come very far out of the hub.
Having inspected both driveshaft, hub and nuts I've come to the conclusion that they've given replaced my driveshafts with tapered ones instead of straight cut ones which means that they don't go fully into the wheel bearing as they are supposed to.
I'm going down there tomorrow morning to have a go at them but I just wondered if anyone knew for definate whether a MK2 1.1i desire 52 reg saxo has tapered or straight cut driveshafts?
They will be replacing both of them if they've put the wrong ones in...
thanks
scott
