106 GTI loom into a Saxo

  1. #1
Hiya, I've bought a 106 GTI engine + Loom + all the immobilser bits.

I have searched but am wandering if anybody knew exactly what I need to to get the 106 gti loom to work in my saxo?

I have searched and all I can find is that I'll need to alter a few sensors. This seems easier/free to do instead of having to look for and buy a vts loom?! If it's a lot of work then i'll just buy a vts loom and plug & play.

Has anybody fitted/altered a 106 gti loom to fit a Saxo, that has any advice on it?

    Any help would be appreciated!!

I believe the looms have to be cut and soldered. But im not 100% sure.

Think the looms different where it goes into the connection near the battery… think the Gti has two round plugs and the VTS only has one… don’t quote me though because it was a while ago now… hope this helps!

Yeh the gti loom I have has 2 plugs.

I suppose it isn't too hard to just use the existing plug that's there from my old loom, and just cut off the 2 plugs on the gti loom and just connect the right wires together making it plug and play. All I would need to know what each wire does.... lol
