Stop the back end locking up

    I have a 106 xsi with a vts rear axle on the back but when i brake hard my back end locks up before the front (i have no abs) and i start to slide which is bad how can i correct this any help apprichiated.

    search as it comes up quite often, i had this problem and found it was the rear compensator valve that was seized and needed free-ing off. also try see if any of the calipers are sticking as a sticking caliper may lock up the rear wheels

    i would imagine jason that you have got an xsi master cylinder which is set up for rear drums not vts disc's. you see where im comin from

    never heard of anything like that before. and on the rallye reg people swap disc beams for drums all the time.

    get on rallye reg and check you have done the copper pipe correctly or that your load compensator isnt fucked
