Help Lowering My Saxo

  1. #1
    Hi there,

I have just purchased a saxo 1.1 desire in white, am looking to lower it 35ml and have found a set of g ready springs to do this. Was wondering if i need anything else to do this and will i encounter any problems with the rear torsion bar? I am not very experienced in lowering ride heights. The car will be lowered onto 15" oz smoked alloys on low profile tyres if that helps?
Any advice will be appreciated? cheers? recomendations?

one thing i know is do not lower the torsion bar using the click method can cause problems.
and if im correct if u are going to lower its best to get shocks and springs.
And if your lowering on 15" i think your meant to have a certain tyre width or somthing im not sure

being only 35mm shocks arent really needed unless you want to go the full hog, and as for rear dampers I wouldnt bother as the torsions do all the work

some good dampers will improve the handling a lot.

torsion bars do the same job as a spring, without dampers on the rear the rear wheel would bounce up and down all the time.

Id stick with 15's mate on your car and 30-40mm would look the best in my opinion

i have ordered the 35ml springs and was wondering if its possible to squeeze 16s on with low profiles or is it best to stick with 15s with low profiles on as dont wanna have the arches rolled? Thanks for your previous replies. ads

Best to stick with 15's imo, would look much better. I don't think you need shocks if your only lowering 35mm, go with springs. They won't last as long as a full kit, but kits can be pretty expensive. Up to you bud
