Could It Be The Clutch?

Hi gents, still got the knocking noise. Thought it was something to do with either driveshafts, wheel bearings, ball joints, anti roll bushes, loose heat shield.

Had the lot checked, some parts replaced and still the noise is there. The garage that I have been using for ages said that the car looked great, which didn't really help (was nice to here though). Now that all this has been checked I get the feeling that it could be a loose clutch or gearbox problem.

Basically it feels like there is something loose in front of my feet, whenever my foot is on the clutch it just doesn't feel right, can't really explain it. I had a quick feel of the pedal and it is very wobbly and its only half up on the position it should be (if that makes sense). When I lifted the clutch up to the position it should the knock appeared, which makes me thing its loose. I don't think it needs replacing as it doesn't slip i think it just needs tighten and realining or something. Major rep-age will be given for any help.

    Cheers

All checked mate, none of them. Dunno what the hell else it is apart from possible this clutch. There is something loose but I dunno what it is behind my feet.

could be loads of stuff. i had an ax with a drive shaft knocking. sometime they can sort of pop out which causes a bang. or maybe a dodge gear box mount. when do you get the knock?

well if i go round a corner quickly, or i go over a bump, something feels looks and the clutch never feels right to me.

yeh i was thinking that, wouldn't have a clue what it would be, would it be something I could check myself or would a garage be best?

It could be a driveshaft mate, jack him up and spin the your tyre round and listen in.

Yeh I am thinking this cos I was down the scrappy yesterday and i looked at the driveshafts on a saxo there and the bar that runs through them is two different sizes (i.e drivers side is bigger than passenger). Now I don't think there is any difference in mine, does this mean I have been given the wrong shaft?
