What to do

Right the VTR is standard engine wise and wondering which of these options is best to do....

    1. Modify the engine with cams, manifold etc
    or
    2. Drop a VTS engine in

vts running gear, and save up cash and do cams and manifold etc in the vts engine!!! lol

why put vts running gear on it?

vtrs come with discs at the rear as standard, 4stud fronts, same size front arb, and the brakes are basically the same bar abs.

on a side note just 16v it, its a better engine to play with if you want more power further down the line.l

as said it will work out quite a bit cheaper to put a vts lump in it than it is to tune a the vtr engine to the same standard of a vts.

    AM I??

Yes back on topic. the only problem now is finding a decent 16v engine second hand.

most are begining to use the newer TU engines such as fitted to the c2/206 etc.... but they need a bit of modifications to fit the saxo.

1.being that the head needs tapping to fit a saxo inlet manifold and plenum.

im sure williams (marc) knows the rest as irc he helped someone on ssc with theirs.
