vt front bumper on flat arch saxo??

    anyone ever done this???

i want to modify a vtr bumper, smoothing wise and fit it.. but will it stick out at the sides too much where it would usually fit onto the arch?....

    What like mine?

The VT arch sticks out by about an inch and a half. I had to cut the standard brackets and make my own custom brackets. Was alot of swearing and trial and error but managed it in the end

standard bumper brackets on the VT are about 4 inches long and stick inwards on the arch where they bolt to the car. I chopped them down, used some L-brackets, bolts, drill and that and shortened the bracket so that it would sit on the standard mount but be about an inch and a half shorter and therefore pull the arch in further.

You just wanting a front bumper on its own? You better off goin for the whole kit mate or it will look a little bit odd.

look at the photos above, I don't think it looks odd. It sits at a similar level and if fitted correctly doesn't stick out on the arches.

it actually looks better as the rub strips on the side are roughly the same as the rub strips on the VT bumpers. whereas on the non-vt bumpers the rub strips are bloody massive.

I have a white VT bumper you could have for cheap, but it needs a tidy up. Nothing too bad, small split at the fog, and chipped paint.

    Tiger seal the mounts on.
Remember the mounts on the VT bumpers are different to normal bumpers.

Easiest way I found to do it, was to get the mounts.. Bolt them onto the car and line the bumper up with them..get it to how you want and tiger seal the mounts and clamp the bumper on them. Few bricks under the bumper to support it also.
