up rated vtr injectors

    hi just wondering if i could up grade my vtr injectors as im in need of some new 1s as my car caught fire last friday

    no point upgrading unless you have a lot of modifications and are maxing the injectors out. Youll either end up with a poor spray pattern or if theyre too big, youll run uber rich.

    how did it catch fire? injector fall out of inlet?

    the bike bodies arnet goin on any more the fire was due to them a leakig fuel rail as 4 the mods i have gmc 4 branch powerflow zorst p/p cituning head and a re profiled cam also while on the subject my car tops out at 125 and i no it should go some more any ideas so now after the fire i am car less atm prob till after xmas wen i get the funds together

    for a start i personally wouldnt want a citunning re profiled cam and head.

    qep are my personal faves for headwork.

    Had a couple of people fucked about by citunning, and have never had a good report back about the turbo conversions they do.

    they sent the wrong head wen i ordered it and b 4 i had it fitted i had it rr and it was producing 120 bhp wen i fitted the head after that it just dont seem so quick

    na am not at all i no a lad wh has had a pp head from the wonderfull highflow and he lost bhp through it as well so i would say dont bother it dosent seem to work for me or a few other ppl i whould go back on the rr bulitt but ma car is not running atm due to a small fire in the engine bay

    I personally think porting and polishing can be detremental to power as not all of the time its done correctly. the only headwork i would get done is when the valves want increasing etc..

    120bhp and it tops at 125mph! somethins not rite there. mines still standard at the min and tops in and around 120-122mph. and its a 90bhp!

    yea its true i do think theres summin wrong bt b 4 i put the head on it used to accelerate like foook i think im going to take the pp head off

    Im new to all this, Ive just joined the site because I want to see about 120bhp from my 90bhp lump.

    Can you tell me the spec of your car, which was producing 120bhp on the rollers? I was thinking cam, mi16 injectors, head work, manifold, quiet system, and (grudgingly because of cost) programmable ecu.

    ..... It seems after an hour or so of reading threads, injectors wont be necessary, and by the sound of things you're producing 120bp on standard head??

    How far could the standard ecu go before causing problems?

    In case you cant tell, I just want the cheapest extra grunt easily achieveable. I'll spend what I have to for a noticable gain. I want it to look standard, not bothered about shiny bits (offers of second hand stuff welcome)..... its only my run around and the insurance don't need to know. Oh, and its got to be Mot-able.
