106 Leather Seats

    Got these coming tomorrow

Anything i need to fit these? As i know they're a straight replacement, but is there any additional bits and bobs i need?
  2. #2
Not that i can think of. If they split you may need another clamp for the bench but other than that i don't think so
  3. #3
yeah you'll need the additional brackets because iirc only the vts came with split benches?

should pick them up from a scrappy for about a tenner
  4. #4
    Ahh balls
  5. #5
You don't need them to fit it but they won't be very safe. Can move about in a crash.
  6. #6
they would move about with people just sitting on them, i'd get the brackets for sake of a tenner
  7. #7
Also be prepared to swop over the seat belt pretentioner wires as I had to in my furio, but it isn't that hard

Im assuming its like the one under the seat in the middle where most people attach they're earth wires?

just use the wires from your furio seats for the pretentioner. as i used the ones off my vtr seats and they fitted fine

Nope its not. Its to keep the 2 rear backrests together. You can't tell when the seats are up properly - but when you pull them down to put something in the boot - they are kinda flimsey in the middle - due to not being attached together.

Sorry didn't make that clear, you should get ones that come with it but mine didn't fit into the car bit, so had to swop over from old seats.
Nothing needs to be bought just undo some screws and swop them over.

    Brackets:

there are 4 brackets for the bottom half of the rear bench to clip into below the bottom split. I think Furio/VTR's only have 1 or 2?

There is also a bracket which goes in between seats 1, and 2. this fixes in and the seats slide into that. then you bolt it up at the walls. IIRC the VTR/Furio/Whatever else bar vts didn't have this either.

Jazz i'll get you pics tomorrow mate

You can buy them from your local citroen dealership for £6-7...

    Seat bracket code: 8957G3
    Bolts/fitting code: 692297

    Hope that helps!

thanks - just need to know what im looking for if i go to a scrappy - or even if i go to citroen - because even they usually dont have a clue!

If you go to a scrapyard just look around all pug 106's and saxo's, any seat that has a split 40/60 rear seat will have the bracket you need..

Fold the seats down, and you'll see what is essentially a clamp that clamps the hinges between the two parts of the rear seat... it's held in with two small bolts...

I wouldn't pay more than £5 for one.. otherwise you may aswell take a trip to citroen..

damn it alex, i was gonna say i have the part codes aswell

actually have the split folding bracket number and ones that hold the carpet in place and attach the bottom cushion to the car, not the bolt one
