anti-roll bar

  1. #1
iv been offered an anti-roll bar which is the same kind of spec as the ones that they used in the rally cars for £110. is it really worth getting? and is that a good price for what it is? im getting my torsions lowered and the guy said he would fit it for free at the same time, let u know what you think

depends on what thickness it is.

do you you know how thick it is?, if so compare to other prices on the net and see what you think. If its a 25 or 26 mm one then its not a bad price, but iirc it will make the ride alot stiffer/harder.

as said find the spec and take it from there. could make your rear tail happy though

Pressuming you're talking about the rear ARB? Sounds like a BIG waste of money to me. A second-hand 106 GTI rear ARB is 24mm. THis would show considerable improvement over your stock rear ARB. Expect to pay around £40 - £50 on Ebay for one.

i keep looking for one of them (106 gti 24mm) but can never find them, or seem to be away when they finish.

find the spec of it and post up that. without that any comparism to items is useless

in general do they make that much difference that i should get one? because i may just keep the money in my pocket, ta

Depends what you're doing to the car as a whole, and what you want do you it for. If it's staying on the road, don't bother.
