most people have told me 2 steer well clear of the splines method when lowering the rear is this the right move? -
#4if you mean lowering it by notches on the torsion bar then yeah

#5yeah, get the torsion bar done and not the notches.
also, if going lower than 40mm a full kit would be a wise move.
