vtr manifold+cat advice needed!

   right my cat has decided it wants to start rattling and coming apart on the inside, therfore i want to do something about it now i know its going not after its gone and broken lol
   
   at the minute until end month im broke and would like to get a 4-2-1 manifold wen i get paid, can i however as a temp fix take the cat off ( its a cat in manifold 98bhp engine) and remove the cat internals. i used to work as a mechanic so know about dangers etc and that it will put engine management light on.
   
   just wondering if this is ok, would cause car to overfuel? or if anybody has any experience with this? problems it may create?
   
   also would it work as decatting the car?

   EML will come on, but wont cause your engine to fuck up really.
   
   Only thing is, used cat innards are seriously poisonous, so wear a mask and big gloves while youre doing it, preferably outside.

   yeh thats what i assumed, i would have done that also, so is it ok to do then or any problems?
