   Hi all...
   
   I was jus hoping to get your veiws on an air filter query... I know there is loadsa these topics on the site which ive read through a fair few...
   
   BUT, whilst happily asleep the other night dreaming about my beautiful saxo ( as we all do) i kind of had a crazy brain wave about slamming a bmc cda air filter onto my raceland induction scoop once i had removed the green air filter...
   
   Wasnt sure if this was a good idea or wether i was just asking for trouble
   
   All replies welcome and im sure im jus pissing in the wind really!!

   pretty sure i've seen this done...the BMC with the scoop from the green cotton on the end, however would look much better just a BMC with samco hosing

   Never seen or heard of it done before tbh. I think it would look pretty evil tbh. It would definately work and may even gain a little extra performance. go for it I say!

   i was expecting turbo/sc my saxo or whack a different engine in
   
   instead i get combine 2 filters

   Well just thought that it would look amazing plus with the right cold air feed the amount of air that would feed the bmc would be intense....

   3. no extra gains as only a certain amount of air can be used anyway, its not more the better
   
   4. money could be used elsewhere

   But tbf if i was then goin to get my car remapped in the future would i not get the extra airflow acounted for??

   you wont get extra airflow. it can only take in a certain amount. you could have 20 cold air feeds throwing the air in but to make no difference. you need a turbo
   
   you dont want a remap until cams either

    or you could just not ruin a green and bmc, and just use the green.

    if you are running 2 air filters, would that not restrict air flow more and give worse performance?
    
    Why dont ye just run it without any air filter
    
    don't do this unless you want to f*** your engine, i am only ripping the piss

    Nah wot im sayin is take the green air filter out so ur just left with the scoop n then the bmc would be the actual filter...
