big problem

   yesterday my engine blew up and got a huge hole in the bottom. result need a new engine. was wondering would a 1.4, 1.6 fit in or possibly an engine from a 106/106 gti? ive got a 1.1 at the minute.

   i think a 1.4 one would any higher than that you would have to change brakes suspension etc

   They will all fit in… the bigger engine you put in the more bits you need… the easiest option would be to just get another 1.1 and it would be a straight swap… with the larger engines there’s more things that you would need to buy… unlocked ecu matching loom, manifold, radiator, gearbox and like said the brakes and suspension
   
   Go on 247spares.com and put a request in… they will find you the engine you want

   check ebay, lots on there at the moment.
