VTR-Kit on Non-VTR

  1. #1
    Hi,
I'm pretty new to all of this, recently got my saxo as my first car, and had money left over to spend on the VTR kit for my 1.1 Desire. Can anyone let me know if you can kit a VTR kit to a 1.1?
    Thanks =)

Yes you can......but im sure you need to either get new front VTR wings (with holes in for arches) so the archwork can pop into the panel..........same need to be done at the back but im pretty sure you got to drill the holes

Though im just giving you a rough idea of how i would do it........Bondie used to have a 1.1 with a VTR kit on.........would be a good idea to PM him

Cheers for that, had a feeling new front wings may be required. Probably get the local body shop to do the holes in the back wings. Ill give that guy a PM

you have to cut a bit of the back arches aswell as they are flat one the base models.

Thats ok mate thats what where here for and welcome to Sax-P

There might be a way of puting front arches on without splashing out on new VTR wings.......if you going to your local body shop just ask them if they can sort something out for you......always best to ask before you buy the new wings

    yeah thanks guys.
yeah ive been looking at the VTR wings, over a hundred quid each so not cheap. To me it just looks like you need holes drilled arund the arch and a slight bit cut away from the arch (on the front).
I cant find anything on VTR rear wings, so i think ill have to go ask the body shop.

mate ive got a 1.1 and ive done all the research into fitting a VTR kit as ive bought one and i'm just waiting to get it fitted...

the kit is a direct fit except for the front and back arches...the 1.1 wings will need to be cut slightly so the VTR arches can fit over properly... not much work but best to get a bodyshop to do it

My old 1.1 Saxo. You dont need new wings just drill holes in the old ones and fix the VT Kit to the car using clips (buy them from Citroen for about 20p each).

Pictures of my old 1.1 -

    Goodluck mate.

    that looks really nice
just shows how much a VT kit transforms a saxo =)
coleecting the parts slowly, hopefully i will be able to get them all fitted and colour matched to my car soon

Now got all the side parts of the kit =) in Posi Blue, so they can go straight on.

Anyone know where i can get front and back bumpers for cheap?
Brand new they are around 100 each.

try ebay they should have some

been looking on ebay, but only ones with huge scuffs and stuff come up.
i really want to get them in posi blue, so i dont have to spray them
but at this rate i may have to go for some brand new ones.

anyways, when ive got my kit together, how high does the car sit?
this is how it sits at the moment with my vtr alloys:

Ill get it lowered at a later stage. how much by anyone?
