Gear Stick Length

Just a quicky, is it possible to trim the gear stick down? I've got my new knob on order and was thinking it might look bit better bit shorter. only thinking of like an inch off. has any1 done this? cheers

yeah jus cut it with a hack saw (note the drivin position is worse the lower you go cos you have to really reach for it)

also check that your new gear knob isn't a threaded one otherwise you'll have to put another thread on the cut down bit. some modified knobs come with 3 screws you just tighten up into the stick.

Some people do this as a DIY quickshift. With a shorter gear stick the throw is reduced when changin gears, as long as you can still comfortable reach it it will be fine. You might find that its a little tougher to get into gear aswell though since you have lose some of your leverage.

lol, i'm not looking for an enlargement, i want it reduced

think i might see how it fits first, then if its too long i'll trim it abit. cheers every1
