266mm with good discs and pads will offer a great upgrade from stock parts. 283mm even more so. Then there's 4 pots, which have the added benifit of being lighter, and don't use the 'sliding' method as seen with brakes from standard road cars.

266mm if you have VTR wheels, 283mm if you have wheels over 14"..If your feeling flush then go for the 4 pots..

yep 266mm are a fine setup. they dont weigh as much as the 283mm setup and offer good breaking. 283mm are good but the calipers way a ton and that can effect the breaking too

sorry, i think the best bet would be to oem discs and look for some uprated pads like mintex. the only thing you have to worry about is the fact that they only work best when hot so may under perform when cold

best pads i have used are mintex 1144's, give them a go.
i was also impressed by Brembo Max disks which are quite good value from GSF car parts.

if you really want better than the 266mm, either get some oem discs and mintex m1144 pads or splash out on some 406 coupe 4 pot brembo's.
