   Hi people!
   
   I apologise if this has already been covered...
   
   I wanted to know if it’s possible to take a vtr and put a vts head on it? Also is the only difference between the R and S the amount of valves?

   Vts twin cam
   Vtr single cam
   Different ECU, gearbox, manifolds, radiator dials!
   
   Better to sell the R and buy an S!

   Its possible, just not cost efficient at all and alot cheaper to just whack a VTS engine in the car..

   The major problem you have, over the ECU and loom etc is the fact the headbolts for a vtr aer in a different position on the vts so you would need to have new holes drilled in the block to mount the new 16v head

   Thanks for all your comments. I was being too optimistic and hoping I could just pop a vts head on a vtr and that’s it..lol!

   Haha noob, almost anything is possible depending on two things
   Time and Money
   
   May as well just whack an S lump in there and try to get some of it re-built an the whole bay cleaned while your at it or just sell up for an S dude

   I'm thinking of just spending a little money on the old vtr engine. Probably just cam, port and polish and remap.
   
   Only problem is lack of money
