relocating fuel cap

thinking of relocating the fuel cap to the inner ppart of the door frame.

    how much work is involved?

how much would it cost professinally?

    cheers.

it pretty simple really, you just have to get a hose and take it right to the inside of the door - the pipe will fit behind the rear door card. you will need a fuel cap and surround i think but it may be a costly job to get done professionally as the old cap will need to be fillered over with a plate welded too and then resprayed so it will be around £500+ at a guess.

Saw a 206 once that had a rear light that swung out on a hinge and the fuel pipe was behind that. very cool

you may have to buy another one from like demon tweaks as it will have to be narrower and also it has to sit flush into the panel so it wont catch on the door. not really worth it really as people only relocate it if they fit big alloys.

the best i saw was someone relocating it to the roof to the roll cage - pretty sure it was a bright orange 205 pug - looked class though

could put it in boot i would think

seen it a few times changed do drivers door when you open its there

cant imagine it would cost loads, but the old hole welded up and painted would cost around 200 at a guestimate

Moved mine, but then the tank is sat where the rear seats were! LOL

The original hole was welded and smoothed, and then the new hole drilled, and piping made to suit. All fire proofed as well.
