16v engine rebuild help / advice

right realistically my engine altho fine needs a fair amount sorting out within the next 5k miles.

Cam belt was done on 60oddk now on 104k, so due for a change. Bottom end is fine no knocks or leaks still very strong but dunno how much more abuse it can take. Clutch needs changing as the black diamond one is utterly shite, box may need doing to not sure until I change the box oil and adjust the bite a bit.

Also the hydrolic tappets still bit tappy but ok when warmed but I didn't run the oil thinner long enough last time. So list consists of

Full cambelt kit inc tensioners etc
    water pump
new hyrdolic lifters possibly? (altho I can get another head would require valve stems and a light skim for precaution)
    mls headgasket set with headbolts
    new clutch
    engine and box oil

anything else you lot can think off? average prices on that lot please! if it adds up to alot getting another engine well again would be a c2 or similar so cost wise be around £400 ish, old 16v then would still need to do basic service items on it to be safe

    help!!!

The bottom end will take more yet..Mine is on 117k and still fine..

I have one in pieces at the moment aswell and the cylinder liners are still uber smooth, they have done 82k..

Aslong as its nbot knocking now you should be ok..I have seen plenty of TU's over 200k and still fine..

we will see because I know the full history of the engine before I had the car and it has not had an easy like at all

    My engine hasn't either..

If its always been warmed up and had frequent oil changes then dont worry..:d

yeah thats the thing the lad who had it before me didn't look after it!! ive always warmed it up before letting loose never before. I think there is about 3-500 pounds worth of stuff to be done there.

Will have to see what others says regards how much the above would cost to do then work out an effective route
