bad brakes

    hi all done a vts swap in my car so i thought i'd do the brakes aswwell the vtvs alipers were the sam size as my west coast ones so that was ok went n got a red dot grooved disc n pad setup for the front n the brakes are still terrible i've still got drums on the back. any ideas as to improving the brakes

    ditch the discs an put some decent ones on 183mm the only way to go

    get the 306 gti-6 set up.

    gti-6 i would go for have a look on ebay they might have some

    nah dont bother with 283mm setup, its too heavy.

    get some 266's.

    they are just right for a vtr/s for road use, much more readily available as well (and cheaper)

    some people sell them as kits off here.

    otherwise they come as standard on models like berlingo's, 306 xsi's, etc, etc....

    most need slight grinding.

    however if buying a set that have already been used on a saxo this will have already been done
