Xsara vts engine

   I want to put a Xsara VTS engine in a saxo VTS, does anyone know, how easy/ or not easy this will be! Are the engine mounts the same?

   Its been discussed before. Not really worth doing. Extra weight would ruin the handling. Better off tuning the Saxo engine.

   discussed on various forums, but would work out cheaper to turbo the VTS engine id say, and will keep the handling of the saxo at its best aswell !

   But!!!! Is it turbo or superchager???? superchargers are ace on 16V's!

   Well.... thats your choice entirely. I'm looking to have a supercharger conversion done in the next year or so. Have a read of the FAQ on super/turbocharging, its really quite good.

    Obviously the handling wudnt be 'the same' but hey...the thing wud fly n i know the place down by me wudnt charge the end of the world to do it! I try to do things different, n thats a crazy idea!

    im guessin u got a turbo'd saxo? hasnt everyone these days...thats why id rather try sumit stupid! Hey just my opinion, id rather av a laugh in a 2.2 turbo saxo than a 1.6.

    Dunt get me wrong, a saxo turbo wud be awesome...just wish i cud afford sumit nice for the engine. best i can do is probably a new battery..n that wud be pushin the budget! haha. thats a gud idea wit the metro n beemer mind hahaha

    AS long as im pushin 200bhp by next christmas ill be happy! If i went with the 170bhp Xsara engine, then turbo'd it, we're talkin 250, maybe 300bhp! fuck corners, give me a runway anyday!

    theres been talk of GTi6 lumps, Xsara VTR/S lumps, 206 180's, but one common one I have heard recently is the Mi16 engine, but this one especially is ALOT of work !!

    one of the big problems with teh gti6/xsara engine is the actual height of the fucker, its a HUGE engine! It is even mounted at an angle in the 306/xsara to get it to fit

    Hence why modifications to bonnet/wings and slam panel would have to be made to get them anywhere near fitting!

    Well my minds made up, ill pass on the Xsara engine!
