#2PRobably mate, i fitted one to my 106 rallye that was lowered -40mm but it was only an inch off the floor so i took it off and sold it.
-
#3Ive found a pic for you.
-
#4having second thoughts now jeers anyway
-
#5Depends on the area you live in aswell. Lots of people don't have problems. I have one but my car isn't lowered as yet:

If you can get one on it makes alot of difference
-
#6you say your car isn't lowered and the strut brace looks quite low to the ground and my car is lowered 45mm
-
#7how hard is it to fit lower ones?
-
#8im done 50mm, strut brace = shagged strut brace.
country lanes are a no, no, speed bumps if they go between your wheels it will hurt, if both wheels go over it you'll be fine -
#9arnt sparco one suitable for lower cars?
-
#10ive got one and lowered 40mm, aint had no problems yet.
-
#11im avoiding a lower strut brace now lol...
-
#12dont be a girl! i got a spare one u can try karl
-
#13why have you got 2?
you noticed it catching mark? -
#14i got a new one.. as the other one was slightly scratched underneath... but its still fine
yeah... it grinds along cuntry roads
have to watch out on those speed ramps that u can normally drive straight over with a wheel either side.. i bottomed mine out on the A28 to tenterden once!
-
#15how do you avoid scraping on wide speed bumps, and if thats k mark, ill see what its like?
-
#16anyone got any more pics of a omp lower strut brace on a 45mm lowered vtr
-
#17Another thing to consider is that ebay do the upper and lower OMP ones for £79.99 delivered so for an extra £20 you get a lower anyway. So get it and if it's too low sellQuote:anyone got any more pics of a omp lower strut brace on a 45mm lowered vtr
I havn't had a problem yet, as remember the brace goes up with the wheels, so the only problem you have is bumps that are in the middle of the road
-
#18where abouts under the car do they fit and is your car lowered
-
#19Anyone got any pics of the sparco lower brace? That OMP one would defo scrap on mine! the manifold scrapes as it is…
-
#20i've got one on mine and mines lowered 50mm and doesn't scrape that much.
-
#21any pics of how the mop one fits
-
#22sorry for the mistake i ment omp
-
#24where abouts do they attach
-
#26where there are objects in the road i.e. central mine takes a battering ! ! !
-
#27I am also thinking of getting one when i have my car lowered 40mm. Anyone have any pics of that?
-
#28I take it thats this OMP one...

It looks quite close to the manifold in that pic...
Anyone know how this sparco one fits??

Does it go above the manifold? Any pics of it fitted anyone? My manifolds covered in scrapes from where its hit the road and its only been lowered 40mm dont think I can go any lower than the manifold -
#29The sparco one fits the same way as the omp one! Pic for Mr Snow of sparco one fitted.

Mine only just misses the manifold, but never really had a problem with how low the brace sits from the road. -
#30I read a post a while back about how the upper one wont do much / if anything.
-
#32how good are the sparco ones for handling
-
#34Dunno whether to do this or not tbh.
-
#36Think I'll nick one off GreenSaxo first as trial
-
#37i've got a lower one on the way, will hopefully tighten it up abit.
will just have to watch out for the bumps that go between your car, oh and animals in the road. -
#38The Easter Bunny is gonna love my new toy tbh
-
#39haha.
animal farm o - saxo with lower strut 3 -
#40i hit a rabbit with my omp lower, it split the poor bugger in half
-
#41I have a sparco and i have quite a bit of clearance (can park with one wheel on the kerb and the others on the road), im down 30mm btw.
I cant see there being much difference between the sparco and thye omp one, although i could be tempted to try a omp one becuase its apparently stronger.
