ive just brought a sao vtr with a fresh 12mnths mot it passed the day i picked it up..but ive noticed once i got back an while i was driving out an about that if i am parked up an i turn the steering wheel from left to right quite sharp theres a clunking knocking noise coming from mainly the left hand side (doesnt look like the drive shaft its above that, looks like some kind of 50p shaped bar with a ball joint on the end??) this noise also happens once im driving and because its my steering i carnt afford to put the noise to the back of my mind or turn the stereo up lol thanx

#2Your ball joint mate, could be the wishbones. Has the car been lowered at all?
-
#3no mate the car hasnt been lowerd atall...so you reckon its the ball joints then? see i didnt think they could of passed it on the mot if they was gone..are they exspesive to bye and are they easy to do myself?
-
#4I had one of mine changed for £70. Don't quote me on it matey. Take it to a garage and get them to check it over, maybe a loose engine mount, no grease on the gaitor, wishbone bushes etc. Tell the garage the problem and see what thye can find
-
#5well the lad i brought it off just had new gaitors put on it so i doubt if theres grease on them.. ill have to take it to a garage tommorow an see what they say. its just a wounder because ive only just brought the car two days ago

#6no mate, if you take the rubber gaitors round the outer section of the driveshaft (connects tp the wheel) there should stacks of grease in there. If they have been changed its likely they weren't greased. So get it looked at
