Calling all those with Racelands...

    Deciding on whether to get a Raceland 4-2-1 or not.

    Big factor for me:
    When fitted, does the bottom of the pipe extend lower than the car itself at all? ie, does it hang lower than the standard.

    Had a 4-1 before that came so low under the car I caught it all the time on speedbumps etc. Got standard on for MOT (sold 4-1), and it's nice going over speedbumps without smashing it. If the raceland sits level with the bottom of the car - I'll get one ordered.

    i'm down 40mm and have never ever knocked or scrapped my raceland, sits exactly the same as the standard one imo.

    I have a raceland and it doesn't sit lower than the bumper, fits nice and snug around the bottom of the engine, any closer and it would be touching the sump..lol

    Its all rumour about them hanging low..

    As above, its the 4-1 manifolds that hang low IIRC.

    Dont mean to intrude the thread, but how low do they sit? Just I have just bought one off someone from here and my cars lowered 80(ish)mm at the back and 60mm at the front on standard vtr alloys, will it hit?

    what have you bought? a 4-1 or a 4-2-1?

    4-2-1 doesn't sit lower and i'm not sure on the 4-1

    go slower over speedhumps, or you must have mountains and speedhumps.

    im down 60mm and my raceland has never hit once, seems to sit just about right!

    my piper 4-1 does sit abit lower that usuall. have noticed when me and my girlfriend swapped cars. she was driving mine behind me and i could see it in the rear view mirror.

    im 60 at the front around 80 on the back and my raceland has never bottomed. perfect fit. 4-2-1 atw
