VIN numbers.

    think i shud post this in problems n queres but i'll just do it here coz i'm not sure!

    was readin the land rover discovery 3 manual before and it sed that the vin is printed in the left hand side of the car unda the wind screen and bonnet!

    at the front riight hand side of the front of the engine bay

    and on the suspenion tower on the right hand side front.

    new that the first two are the same for all crs but i was wonderin if the 3rd one was on all...

    anyone now?

    it on a saxo that way too?

    not too sure to be honest mate!i know theres one on the engine bay under the windscreen or kinda near the wiper motor!

    the first two are not the same for every car. On the saxo the vin number is on the scuttle panel area just to the right of the centre. On a focus its on a little panel under the windscreen.

    On my old XR2i, there was also a VIN number inside the car. Under a little flap by the drivers seat.

    yeh thats where it was on my old fiesta. and I think there was one on the inside of the boot aswell

    my mum's corsa has that too!

    i think it's down to sercurity these days and how people nick the cars and change vins that they can check there coz they crimals wouldn't have changed that one!

    criminals know stuff inside out!

    a guy said he could break into this guys mercedes which has the full security that needs the card and everything for it too work!
    he went out ten minutes later the car was roarin away!

    a pro knows the car inside out!
