noise inside cam belt coverr

    Hi, I am not technically minded, so if this question sounds stupid I am sorry. I have had a Saxo 1.5 diesel for a few months and noticed that there is a noise coming from inside the cam belt cover its hard to explain, like a knitting needle being hit inside a can there is also quite a bad oil leak from just behind the alternator which I have been told is normal with this type of engine I have to take to garage on Thursday and dont want ripping off. any ideas

    maybe something has broken off inside and is rattling around inside the cam belt cover. Take the cover off and see if you can see anything inside
