Saxo Diesel Help Needed

   Hi, I have a Saxo Diesel 1.5, I have been having trouble with the cooling system, I bought the car a couple of months ago and noticed that its been using a bit of water so I have booked it in to the garage thats booked up for a couple of weeks, but I have now noticed that the water is not moving through the expansion tank, which makes me also think that the blasted fan is not coming on when the engine is idling in traffic, do you think it could be the water pump if so is it better not to run the car until the garage can fix, thanks for any help.    Could be the water pump. If it is you should hear a knocking sound from the bearings wearing out. If you do, then I would get it fixed asap as it can nacker you head gasket bud

   Hi, I listed a thread the other day about a noise inside the cam belt cover could this be associated with the water pump

   with the fan, mine has never come on during traffic. the only time was after it went on a brief track day session.
