ps2 in car - i need some help!

I am looking to fit my Ps2 into my Saxo vtr. I have a dvdscreen/headunit already setup, and I know how the ps2 connects to that. I need help on the following:

1. Where is the best place to mount the ps2?
2. I know you can buy kits so the ps2 runs off the cigarette lighter, but can you wire it up to the main car supply?

Any help on this matter would be really appreciated.

power invertor for power.

just cut the cig plug off and hard wire as normal

and most mount them in the glove box

you can get the p[ower invertors fairly cheap from motor world etc.. i have my ps2 under the seat as it will not fit the standard glove box and that is where my dvd player is housed,under the seat was only real option although i have heard of one guy who has mounted it on its side in the door card so with fibee glass etc... don't no how much truth there is in that but surly some one is mad enough to try it?

it wont fit straight into the glove box, but with a little bit of cutting it will

or u could get the new slimline ps2

get a slim line ps2 thay run on 8.5volt so you dont need that 240volt supply.

Good idea, chuck it in the door...make the frame for it out of wood, stick it to your original door card, use lycra ova the wood and wrap it round the back of the door card...fibreglass ova it n HEY PRESTO...ps2 in door card!
