Want some more bhp

   What do you think?
   I want some more bhp outta my 1.4, dont want to spend too much. its all standard apart from i got a K+N induction. Was thinking of straght throu system, 4-2-1 manifold, camshafts.
   im not too good on stuff inside the engine so some advice please would be greatly appriciated

   once you start changing the engine internals and paying someone to do it.. the costs quickly mount up
   
   Makes it more cost effective to change the engine to a larger cc one.
   
   A quality manifold and exhaust makes a lot of difference.

   so I'll quickly edit to mention suspension suspension suspension..
   
   it takes a lot of extra power to drag yourself up the straight fast enough to make up for a deficit on the corners.

   Well i'd suggest a cat-back system + manifold and if you could stretch a few more quid a de-cat pipe.

   can go up to about 600 but want to spend around 400, thanks for that bake, no any sites which do them? half decent ones

   I'm picking up our exclusive supersprint race backboxes which should be quite reasonably priced.. they'll match up perfectly to the race centre section.
   
   Manifold wise. The Raceland 8v manifold is hard to beat when you compare price vs performance.

    suspension is standard as far as i no, when looking most sites dont mention 1.4 west coasts, so do i buy vtr stuff cos its 8V aswel? would it be better if i bought all 3 parts in one go as like a deal rarther than buying separate?

    suspension and exhausts are all the same stuff. Manifolds for the VTRs fit the 1.4 engine also.

    Also I'd maybe do away with the K&N induction and either get an enclosed induction kit or a panel filter as the open one you have now will be losing you power as it'll be sucking in hot air.

    for 600 quid your could get a vts conversion well parts for it.
    maybe that could be good
