engine service?

    ive never serviced a car before but have been told its easy to do.


    1. jack car up and take out all oil
    2. put in engine flush
    3. let car run for 15 mins
    4. drain out engine oil flush
    5. remove oil filter
    6. put on new oil filter
    7. change spark plugs
    8. put in new oil


    Is this right? and ware the hell are the spark plugs?
    what tools will i need?

    There's a lot more things to do than just changing the oil / oil filter and plugs...

    Yes mate, you're pretty much there! You could do the cambelt while your at it. Plugs are located under the coil pack. Bit of a bitch to get to, but can be done easily enough. The search button is the key

    You might also want to check out:

    Coolant level - Flush and refil if required.
    Change the fuel filter
    Change the air filter
    Front brake pads - replace if required
    Rear brake pads / shoes - replace if required
    Front disks, and or rear discs - replace if requried
    Power steering resovoir (if applicable) - flush and refil, or top up
    Suspension bushes
    Exhaust bushes
    Brake fluid resovior - flush and refil, or top up

    ...The list goes on...
