Suspension arm?

   My mate is a mechanic and he was in my car today and noticed that there was a clunking noise coming from the from nearside when I went over a bump.
   
   He said this maybe my suspension arm and to check I should jack up the car and try to wiggle the wheel backwards, forwards, in and out. If there is any give then it needs replacing.
   
   My question is is a suspension arm expensive? My mate said he would put it on for me for nothing so just need the part. I have a 2001 VTS.

   They aren't normally too exp. Have a butchers on eurocarparts or GSFcarparts

   Is this the front or the rear? If there's play, it's more common that the wheel bearings are at fault.

   There's lots of bits that could cause a noise. I would make sure you find the faulty part before you buy a new one.

   Yeah, might just get my mate to have a look at it to make sure that it has gone before I buy one.
