quick manifold questions

  1. #1
ill be quick as i dont really need detailed answers. rep available

1)how come raceland manifolds are sooo cheap compared to piper or supersprint etc?

2)do the raceland 4-2-1 manifolds fall lower than the front bumper? i know one kind of manifold does and im just not sure if its the raceland or not.

    thanks

Raceland are made from a thinner steel than other ones and the build quality isn't the best. And as far as I know these sit at the same level as the normal manifold, don't know which one it is that hangs lower.

    the racelands don't hang low.

The difference is the quality. Supersprint ones and to a lesser extent piper are made to far higher standards and better materials.

how much of a higher standard? how long will a raceland manifold last me?.... 100 miles, 10,000 miles 100,000 miles?

would it be better to splash out on piper or stick with a raceland and with the extra cash ive saved buy some heat wrap?

Should last a few years. Mine hangs a little lower than my old one. Well it may just look like it as its all shiny lol compared to the naff old one!

Its just about the build quality i dont think there is much difference in perfomace tbh.It will last you a good few years as i have heard and for the money i dont think you can really go wrong with the raceland manifold.

EDIT;When i fitted mine it didnt look like it sitted any lower than the stardard one.

depends where your oil filter is mate.....if its the black thing poking out on the right hand side (passanger) then you will.

If its at the bottom sticking towards the bumper (blue oil filter) then you won't

The Racelands have a guarantee of 4 years off the top of my head.

Personally I'd get the Supersprint out of the Piper / Raceland / Supersprint as a well designed and well made manifold will be the best performing. BUT its all down to budget.
