Would this be the same as a vts engine?? i was just on ebay and came across this im sure the only difference is the cam cover, and the location of the power steering pump

    what everyone think?

from just looking at it, and i dont have clue if im right. altho the same size engine, i think that it will be the same block as the c2 vts and 206 xsi and will be 125bhp

as said im not certain on this, im just going from the look of the cam cover, as its the same as the xsi/c2 block

but different head/cams than the vts i would think

    yaha

my guess anyway... smoother power delivery
  8. #8
so is it worth getting for that price??
  9. #9
I would have thought that the heas would be the same as the C2 but the cams would be different. Worth getting if its cheap for sure. Just replace the cams with some catcams or something.... even 110 bhp isn't that bad if you don't want to mod it
  10. #10
Probably got more torque than the C2 versions!
  11. #11
Same engine as the C2 GT..

Identical engine to the VTS C2 but has a different inlet and diff cams..

As said, just cam it and will be no different..:d

would i just need saxo vts normal cams or c2 vts normal cams??
  13. #13
    c2 cams i would guess
  14. #14
klkl im gettin a saxo vts soon but with this in mind i dont really have to worry if i get one thats done around 70,000 miles

Check out this guys other items, yes its the same engine as the C2 GT but it is not out of the berlingo (he has it listed under other names and one of them shows the peugeot badge on top) just thought I'd let you know, even though it will still fit.

ah i see what you mean, every 1.6 16v engine for peugeot/citreon is the same pic, dodgy maybe or not??
  17. #17
Not sure if the engine is dodgy mate, I think he's just put it under all the names that the engine fits in to get more interest.

yer i know what you mean, weird how the 1.6's are chearper than the 1.4's
  19. #19
Youll need a saxo engine loom, ECU and inlet manifold with throttle body to run one of those engines. And the exhaust manifold.
  20. #20
so wud the loom off the vts im getting do along with the ecu, inlet manifold and i would go for a 4-1 manifold anyway, be fine for that engine???

obviously i would have to have the ecu unlocked yer?
  21. #21
would need to change the sump, cambelt covers, engine mount block, alternator set up and maybe the thermostat housing and alternator pully aswell as the other things listed, if you put one into a vts then it would be fine
