How hard is it to lower a saxo?

    Hi every1 i need some help wondering weather i should lower my car myself or pay some1 else to do it!? i dont wana mess it up ive never done it before but is it easy like simple enough or not? thanks

    if i was you, pay some1 and when you learn more about it do it yourself. You could maybe do the back urself but get some1 to do the front.

    get someone professionally i would to do it

    the torsion bar on the rear is a pain in the ass if your cars a few years old
    get someone else to do it

    Id recomend paying someone to do it mate its not worth the hassle.

    I will second that it really isnt worth the hasstle you will need spring compressors for the front and if teh rear isnt set right you will get through tryes quicker as it wont be level.

    My mates a mechanic and said he wouldnt touch it unless he's insured at work, just incase it fucks up...
    as when they are a few years old they can seize... take it to a well known garage... no cheapy shit

    Depends what sort of set up you want...?
    Just springs is the cheapest option
    or you can have a full kit with springs, dampers and all that jazz
    or coilovers...

    i have a set of springs and at the weekend me and a mate are going to do it on his drive, we have lowered my last 2 cars both fair puntos with springs all around but with all the guides i have for the rear so we going to give it ago

    i bought some springs the other week n the garage said it could cost anywhere from 70 - 110 quid to lower it, depending on how easy the torsion bar comes loose. is this about right?

    piece of piss to do yourself if your willing to... few tools.. and if its siezed a blow torch / slide hammer etc.. just dont be to over excited with a hammer :o

    Thinking about lowering my saxo... but dont know whats the best distance to lower or any good spring makes ?!?! any advice ?! :-^
