1.1 manifold

   well i searched and didnt really find what i was after - i saw snewham had put a manifold on his 1.1. with my 1.1 will i be able to put a mk1 vtr manifold on like a 4-2-1 or will it have to be specific to 1.1? i believe snewham used an 8v one but.. well.. yeah if anyone could suggest what to do id appreciate. i was thinking that the raceland one looks ok cheap too but its for a vtr...

   Any manifold from a 1.4 or 16 vtr will fit your model. The raceland is ok but it is cheap and it wont last forever. Do you have a MK1 or MK2? if you have a MK2 then you will need to move the oil filter in order to use the raceland. There are plenty of threads on this but piper and supersprint manifolds are better quality, will last longer and will fit straight on.

   he has MK1 Scott so won't need to move any filters

   The supersprints lists as fitting all the 8valves.
   
   The Raceland only officially fits the 1.4 and above but seems to fit the 1.1s too

    hey another question - presumably my car has a lambda sensor - i take it its a case of swapping them over if i were to get a new manifold?

    Yes you use the current sensor and just remove it from current manifold and place in new 4-2-1. Which will more than likely be in a different location.

    does the car feel any better with the raceland on? how easy is it to fit?

    Well it sounds alot nicer with the raceland on but with the mialeage and engine size there isnt much noticable difference. Was a little bit tricky to fit on and get to all the bolts but other than that was easy! Makes the engine bay look nicer too.

    there must be a bit of difference like does it not feel slightly better on acceleration or out?

    I noticed a massive difference on mine, seems to pull alot better in all gears.
