car wont lock

   hey guys, went to lock my car earlier and it locked, but then unlocked.ive took of the doorcards and had a look. the mechanism looks like its trying to lock(move down) but then moves back up again because it cant go down.
   Anyone know what this could be?

   is there anything blocking the locking system moving down at all?
   
   maybe somewhere along the door pin or something catching not letting it move down so it pops back up?

   its sorted my friend.done what you said and wiggled some bits and its working fine now cheers bud

   no probs , mine has done it before, but just wiggling didnt work so i kicked the door card and it worked

   haha fair enough.ive now got to take the door pin out the otherdoor so i hope it doent happen on that lol

   at work this problem normally means a seizede motor off it happenens agi n take the motor apart and grease the parts up and it will work a treat

   Happen to me before after I had taken the door card off. All I had to do was move the door card around and give it a helping hand. Was fine after that. Even if it did take me 5hours, lol. Although was a lil worried at first. Thought of not having your car locked is not nice.

   this happened with mine about a year ago on the drivers door and i just wiggled it like you have done and its never done it again

   happened to mine last week, just fiddled with it and it sorted it. Glad you've got it sorted!
