   im gettin a mk2 saxo vtr of a mate at christmas, its got a exhaust and the grill has been changed, everything else is standard, a very nice car inside and out but im wondering has anyone got any ideas to make the car look even better, any help will be fine

   I would start with lowering it and maybe a new set of wheels if you dont like the standard ones.You could also smoke the lights as that is cheap to do.

   is about 40mm a good size to lower it???

   Lower 40 / 45mm
   
   alloys 15inch
   
   upper and lower strut braces
   
   full exhaust system including manifold
   
   enclosed induction kit
   
   new brakes all round
   
   dewiper rear
   
   shorten Ariel
   
   paint rear badges black or even debadge rear
   
   standard mk1 rear lights
   
   smoke front lights including fogs and side rep's
   
   full sound system including new head unit, front component speakers amped, 10/ 12inch amped in boot.
   
   and thats probely all i would done if it was me...

   I would go lower than 40mm tbh but it depends what how many speed bumps there are around your area and what you want the car for.
   
   DJsaxo-there is no point in changing the brakes all round a good set of front brakes is enough.

   yea i was thinkin of gettin a induction kit, lowering it abit, new rims and definetly smoked lights.
   but i like the idea of takin the rear badges off aswell, how much will it cost to get the holed smoothened over and painted again tho???
