springs, rear beam

ive had a bit of a rattle coming from the rear of the car since ive had it lowered, now ive traced it back to two little springs that go from the chassis to the rear beam, they don't look important, ive copperd greased them and cable tied them tight for the time being, as they are pretty rusty and i doubt they' tighten...

am i okay to remove these completely?

Have you got a pic of where these springs are located? Pretty sure they'll be there for a reason to be honest. would be better replacing them for new ones if greasing them up etc isnt working

its really slack, if i could tighten it, im 100% sure it would cure the rattle..

it looks a right fiddly job to replace as there is no room to fit a spanner, good old citroen!

This is the spring that adjusts the tension for the load sensing valve for your rear brakes there is a adjuster on there but it may be siezed up so be carefull

theres an adjuster, but like you say its seized!

going to nip down citroen and see if they can order me a new couple, this ones greased up and cabled tied to stop to rattling...

i was warned before i had my car lowered to watch out for the rear brakes as they think the car has a full load (cars stripped)
