Lightest alloys

  1. #1
What are the lightest alloys avaliable 4 a saxo - 195/45/15. For my vts.

Also does anyone know how much standard vts wheels weigh?
  2. #2
I believe its the Team Dynamic Pro Race 1.2 mate. Theyre very very light. Is not its probably the ultraleggera. Both would look mint on your car.

Not sure on exact weight of the S rims but theyre quite a heavy rim for a 15
  3. #3
oz ultra leggera, team dynamics pro 1.2's and speedlines are probably the lightest alloys
  4. #4
Actually if you can find a set there are a few magnesium alloys about. Very rare though but stupidly light. was a set on SSC for sale not long ago not sure if theyre still there. Just make sure you find a decent set cus some magnesium alloys are weak under kerb damage

The new alloy steelies for the C5 are lighter than any Alloy wheels out there.

Look good too.. especially if painted white. Perfect for a track car.
  6. #6
Oz superleggera are stupidly light too. Weight hell of a lot less than the standard vts wheels and vtr wheels.
  7. #7
speedline cronos are also very light
  8. #8
    what about pro race 2's?
  9. #9
    team dynamics

    pro race 1's 7x15=6.4kg
    pro race 1.2's 7x15=6.9kg
    pro race 2's 7x15=6.4kg
  10. #10
good job i got black pro race 2's on order!!!!!!!!
  11. #11
I think i saw somewhere on here that vts wheels with tyres weigh 13kgs each.OZ Ultra leggers are light but then you will have the weight of spacers and longer bolts as they are not the right offset for a saxo.I would go with the pro comps.

    WRONG

Oz UltraLeggeras weigh 5.2kgs each which is over 1kg lighter than any of the pro race ones.

They also come in the exact Saxo fitment and do not require longer bolts.

It is the Oz Superturismo's that require spacers and longer bolts.
  13. #13
i think the speedlines are pretty dam light.

Mine are a direct fit. with Saxo sized bolts.
  18. #18
Superlegs are 4.9kgs in 15x7 form.

Kam is right also, the C5 steelies are stupidly light and in 15" form. But I heard
that citroen put the prices up on them once they realised half of Rallye Register
    started buying them out. W*nkers.
  19. #19
Its the OZ SuperLeggera's that dont come in direct saxo fitment, so spacers and longer bolts are needed

  23. #23
Nah those speedlines are different, proper magnesium wheels. Think they weigh
    a tad over 5kgs.

Ultralegs are actually slightly heavier than Superlegs btw
  24. #24
those speedline corse, look the tits.

pro race 2's are pretty light too.

    nicest wheels going.
  26. #26
Titanium spacers and bolts ftw me thinks on superlegs!

Yup Karl you do need 20mm spacers on superlegs, ET is 37 standard

  29. #29

Be a real man and buy some wheels that fit direct tbh
  31. #31
i bought 5 of the C5 pressed alloys , and posted about it on the RR , with all 5 on the scales its only 22Kg , so thats 4.4kg per wheel

    RR link

Apparently my MOomo's are quite light, but I havn't a lcue what they weight....anyone know?
  33. #33
see if it says on the inside of the rim.
  34. #34
Well in 17's there 8.9kg, so there probably not all that light in 15's
  35. #35
If you wanna sdave weight Luke Saunders, all you gotta do is buy a shorter set of springs

Superleggera's are quite good and nice to look at! Just got mine sprayed in gold! Spacer weighs 400g so its not so much heavier with it!
