dynamat installation...

Anybody Put a fair amount of dynamat in there car??
I wanna put some in the front doors to test it before progressing....
Does anybody know whether you put it over the material stuff already on the door?
Or just tear that off and cover with dynamat?
Anyone got a any pictures??? info??

dont stick the dynamat over the weather seal, remove it and use the dynamat to make the new weather seal

Is that how youve done it?
Where has this information come from?
What about the rear door cards? Theres funky insulation in the back quarter panels...should that be removed?
Or does the dynamat go over the top?
Is dynamat beneficial on the ecoustic shelf?

get the acoustic shelf to fcuk.

The information has come from experience and a bit of common sense, if you try to stick it to the weather foam stuff a: it wont stick and b: it wont do its job flapping around on it

Remove the furry insulation, dynamat behind it and then put the insualtion back over the top

How do i replace the insulation? wot with...will it peal away and stick back again? Any1 know anything about insulation?

May sound stupid and u might not want to do this in your car but any arkward bits that u cant get synomat into use foam loft insulation...works a treat

As for the dynomat, like Scott said stick it to as many of your metal panels as you can...but only to the metal panels not over the top of any original insualtion etc.

Handy tip for dynomat...cut it into loads of strips then stick it down.

Does filling enclosures with wadding improve sound?

Well my car has been done in strips, and that was done by profesionals...ive been told thats the way to do it so im sure it must work as well, if not better!

Use fibreglass resin to cover the inside of sub boxes...best thing to improve sound by far and makes the boxes stronger

When u fill the bass drum on a drumkit with a blanket it improves the sound....is it not similar with a sub box?....coz mine aint a sub box its a doorcard....i was just gunna put some extra insulation inbetween the doorcard and the metal....thats gotta benefit? aint it?

My mates old nova had them in the doorcards...
it looked and sounded trick....so i fancied my own....
some bitch stole and burnt out his car so im working from memory.....i recon it should sound and look mint....if it dont i sell the fuckers....hmmmmm

if you use the speaker woding you can control the cubic ft of the speaker encloseor

It depends how far you are willing to go.

I personally have put 10 roles of dynamat in my car. I took the dash out and did the bulk head, both doors, both rear quarters, the boot, the entire floor and roof.

Make sure its nice and perfectly deadended

wowsers your car must be completely vibration free..
