leaking sump.........

   hey im jus wondering im thinking bout buying a vts been looking at one with a leacking sump is there any problems with the sumps? or the blocks? is this common?

   MAy be the sump gasket, quite easy to replace and not too expensive

   yeah i thought that but i was just curious incase it was common for the block etc to go pourus? or warp?

   block wont leak or you would have fluids all over the place!!!!!!!!! same with it being porous
   more likely to be a sump gasket or a leaking oil filter

   yeah my vtr had a leaky sump but i replaced the gasket and gasket gooed the bolts up and now as dry as a bone
