Ive got a 1.4 Westie, (same as the furio, just a MK1 instead of a MK2) and its not bad as a 1st car , (even though its my 3rd!) Planning on VTS conversion next year. But I have defo enjoyed the 1.4.

hmm i have to disagree with u here alex, i got my furio as my first car and im bored of it now, had it 8or 9 months, only passed my test 3months ago mind but im still bored of it, sure its nippy enough but i regret not getting at VTR - only 2 or 3 insurance groups higher and a very noticeable difference.

but jon the same could be said of every car, you could have got a vts and regretted not getting say a gti 6 etc... certainly not a bad car to start with

wel ive just had a modded mg zr on the bypass with mine guy was well pissed off haha it must have been the smallest size engine they do

I agree Jon , but I can still keep up with my mates who are my age who drive similar size and some bigger sized engined cars.

But I need more, hence why the VTS engine is in the pipeline

my mates got a furio 1.4 for his first car and he is wheel happy, most people thinks its a vtr anyway, i have a vtr and some times he has said i wish i had a vtr but then he has said that when he has done with his car it will be quicker than i vtr, so id go for it mate but its up 2 u

Whatever car you end up with, chances are you will get bored of it anyway. I'm the same. Get a new car, year or so later, get used to its performance, get bored and want a change. Although saying that, the VTS does keep a smile on my face...... every now and then i boot it and realise how quick it is.

craig17furio i find it hard to believe, sure it wasnt a rover? 105 compared to 75 on a furio,

i want a punto GTT but cant get one till i get my years no claims which is OCTOBER:'( so i am going to think about some little mods to improve performance slightly on my furio, nothing silly though

anyone know who owns and the spec of the fastest 1.4(not the GMC one though)?
