whats the best bore size for a standard vts with enclosed filter? 2" or 2.25"? give me reasons and experience please not a guess or answers that you cant back up. thats silly and unhelpful. cheers

i would say 2"
i make this judgement because that is the bore they use on the Super 1600
cars, a lot of investment goes into their performance.

Definately 2inch.
Even Peugeot only stepped up to 2.25inch when they built the Maxi spec cars.
All the group N systems are 50mm (2 inch)

3" all the way to the back.

I would say 55mm external diameter so the internal will be about 52-53mm depends on wall of the pipe. 60mm is too large for 1600 engine. Will be ok if you are using nitrous or highly modified engine.

2" for near standard n/a imo
any smaller and it will restrict the exhaust gases, too large and it buggers up the 'pulsing'... ie, you lose power
