Need SERIOUS HELP!

   I bought these 2 off people on here, took it to the garage last night but they have rung this morning to say they cant fit it cos its about a foot short between the two.
   
   
   How can i get them to join or do i need another bit?
   
   I got a mark 1 vtr R reg.

   yep the backbox has been cut, there should be a pipe about a foot or so on the end

   just get another bit of pipe and weld it inbetween, simple!

   Where can i get one of these bits of pipe from? Garage sed they couldnt just wack another bit of pipe on it?

   well if you measure the diameter of the pipe then go to a scrappy or something. i dont see why they cant do that.

   Sadly this is what happens when you buy 2nd hand things like exhausts..

   Baz how comes ur pipes are longer?
   
   So what should i do- garage sed they cant just stick another pipe on cos its stainless

   there not thats how they should be, the longer one just has no silencer like yours, its the backbox of yours that is wrong as you have no pipe coming from it like it should have

    yeh need the pipe that comes frmo the backbox, well i'd say someone has chopped it to fit it onto a standard system or a supersprint centre section.

    You should of asked me before you brought it mate as we were talking about what you needed ect.I dont think you could just weld abit of pipe on it as the pipe has a bend for air-flow and it wouldnt sit right,so it would be very hard to find the right bit of pipe to weld to the box.Your best bit is to sell it and buy another magnex back box.

    you could perhaps cut the fullpipe and then get gates ( powerflow exhausts) to make a custom pipe and weld it to your backbox this should nt be too much of a problem for them i would not of thought mate?? should be worth a try, cheaper and less hassle than selling and getting a new box for your own bud..
