Ok, well next thing on my list is a new filter as the current is an open filter.

    So opinions on both?

is the cda worth the extra £50?

    cheers for opinions.

to be honest i`d get the raceland and with the greenfilter off kam racing and save a bit money... the gains between them will be next to nothing and not that you are going to notice any gains anyway.... personally i`d say the raceland but have heard good things about the bmc ones aswell.. i also think the raceland 1`s look quality when you open your bonnet... but each to their own opinion

    bmc for me.

but the raceland looks like a very good option. seems to work very well

I see alot of people dislike the standard feed from the BMCs, my friends changed his feed and says it works nicely.

The racelands look nice and the feeds seem to work well.

    hard to pick lol.

i have a green enclosed which cost 210, and trust me i wish i just bought the raceland with green filter, would of saved my self a good 100 quid

for the BMC its essential to get a good air feed. The cars where people duct from the front grill are ideal.

Personally I'd save my money for other mods and get a Raceland + Green filter. A plastic scoop was good enough for Green too

Saying that Jon here has a silver carbon BMC in his polo that looks the nuts.

raceland green.... been a poll on this aswell
  16. #16
Raceland, has a nice noise to it
  17. #17
I hear racelands are a little tricky to fit? dont come with brackets etc?
  18. #18
i think its the 1`s for the vts that are a little bit trickier to fit,,, think the vtr1`s are straight forward...not 100% sure though

Got the Raceland/Green fitted on my VTS two weeks ago, bargain price from Kam Racing. Yes its a little tricky to fit, but I let the lads down my local Hi-Q garage sort that out...

Have to say, it sounds amazing. No other mods done (...yet) and it sounds just brilliant. Once you get it into 3500rpm upwards it's a brutal growl. Not too noisy, but aggressive enough to turn heads all down the street. Going to make sure when I get my 'zorst done, it isn't too loud, because the Raceland kit sounds lovely and I'd cry if it got drowned out lol.

Fitted my raceland with green filter on sat.

The only problem i had was that the power steering resevoir was in the way.

The raceland kit came with a bracket, but i didnt need this for the induction fitment, so i used it to re mount the resevior a couple of inches to the right. Very minor hitch for a great induction, great noise and decent quality for the money.

sounds like more people rate the racelands!

May look into it since its hard to see the difference in price!

the £50 diff is the price it will cost for my heat wrap so seems well worth going for the raceland!

anyone get any pics of the racelands fitted?

  24. #24
awesome, cheers anyone else have to move the powersteering fluid?
  25. #25
Yeah you have to move it to the right but no biggie. For the money nothing even gets close to the Raceland/Green.

i'll take the new one for a spin too and see how it feels with the green filter set up, or i could swap it onto the vts thats running the bmc and do a comparison on the same car.
