there is no garentue you wont get problems with any kit, your car might give you a problem when its lowered what ever, but there is less chance with a better spec kit.

    depends on your budget also.

i and alot of others have the 40mm spax psx kit, and for the money its great, and i personaly think its brillant.

also could try the blistein sprint or sportlines (can't remember which is the better one).

but i'd avoid gmax as they seem to throw up the most problems/complaints.

I just want a decent enough kit, that will last, and is quality. You got any Pics of a car with the kits you recommended on?

Mine is on a Spax PSX Kit, 40mm.
    I rate it highly too.

    Pics of mine in here

For best handling don't go any lower than 40mm.

We've never had any Bilstein suspension returned with a fault. Sometimes the motorsport units come back to get rebuilt but they have a very hard life.

Both are uprated the same amount. The sportline are o/e length. the Sprints are designed for use with lowered suspension

    cheers kam.

i didn't mean the sus as such with a fault, but the car may have issues when lowered, i.e. if beam or bearings are shot.

certainly if there is a problem with the suspension putting higher spec units on and the subsequent harder driving makes things worse.

i bought the spax psx kit for my car and paid about £215 delivered, tho its normally a bit more expensive than that.

Kam - what do you recommend?

    Bilstein are good.

Kev has the B12 kit on his BMW and I'll be fitting some to my next road car.

Jon here is going to be testing out the FK kits on his polo should be a nice cheaper brand

standard dampers and eibach springs for just lowered look but retaining comfort

bilstein sport and H+R for a fast road setup

bilstein group n and with gmc 40mm springs for very hard road and track abuse

Don't forget things like uprated bushes, top mounts and braces if going for a fully sorted setup
