    Hey all,

ive been thinking, and wondering how much would a full respray cost?

if it was a full respray in black? posi blue? clouds green (even named it after his car ) etc what colours would you do a full respray in?

How much would you think it all comes to??

nout wrong with your colour lol

its not worth it to be honest, unless you know someone that can get you it done at a cheaper rate than usual. Cant say i know how much your looking at but id say at least 600 for a decent job?

Never said there was owt wrong with my colour bud just wondering what it would cost for someone to get oit done lol

If you want a good job doing expect to pay around £1250 to £2000 thats for a really good job.

You can get it done cheaper but the chances are the work wont be as good quality and the time and care spent on it not really sufficient.

Some people can get it done for about £600 but thats usually mates rates (but how many of them get mates rates off a very very good sprayer?) or its at a garage that doesnt do alot of the important prep work (cutting time and corners)

Its a usual case of "you get what you pay for" tbh

full job, including inside and out of car, engine bay etc, i'd expect to not hear qoutes of less than £1300-1500, and anything upto around £2300.

thats just basic colours too, will get alot more expensive if you want metallics, pearls, flips or candy colours.

personnally, i love candy red, looks awesome, but is expensive.

an example of an expensive spray job - a mate i know had stage 4 flip paint (4 colours) and the whole car cost £4,500, but if he has a crash and needs the bumper, bonnet or a door redoing, the WHOLE car has to be redone, as otherwise it wont flip colours together.

Theres a hell of alot of work involved with the process, its the prep work that takes so much of the time and not so much the spraying itself

Depends on the job at hand.

My corsa cost £3500. 182 hours work and sprayed doors, boot(inside) and engine bay + all body work.

That was ford panther metallic black with gold/silver night flake.

If you want a 'standard' saxo colour then around £1500/1800 for a decent/peftect job. If your looking for a clean up or a change of colour you may find them range between £800 for a cheap deal and up to £3000 for the better end.

Overall they cost alot due to labour hours and man hours + cost for the paint. Paint alone if done right and not using thin layers will cost 400/600 including primer + colour mixing etc. Most cars are sprayed thin and can crack easily pay more and the paint will last alot longer than most cheap jobs. My corsa had 13 layers, friends golf has 18 and a cheap uses are 5.

exactley mate this is very true and it would be cheaper probs to find a different colour car mate but if you have money and you can get it done cheap and a decent job just go for it mate

You do pay for what you get really with spray jobs ect.

You will be looking around 1500-2500 for a good job imo.You can do some of the prep yourself to save abit of cash.

I really dont see the point in getting a respray like previous threads have said you got a nice colour their mate why spoil it??

But i know a garage down here in the south which does it for around £1500 but i can think of better things to spend that amount of money on

What are your ideas then mate?
