Seat Belt Pretensioner... Chop chop?

    Just wondering, atm i have my bucket seat in, and my pretensioner still connected up but on the floor underneath...

    Is there a easy way of getting it off without making airbag light coming on?

    Could i just chop the big bit off and have the wires still connected and just fastened to underneath of my seat? :s

    Any help or advice..

    What did you do with yours?

    cut it them put in resistors

    The only other way is resistors as said or taking the air bag light bulb out... Personally i would just cable tie the pre-tensioners under the seat to the subframes, so their hidden out the way!

    2 ohm resistor mate.

    you can then unplug everything and just be left with the wires with the connectors on, then all you do is put one end of the resistot down to touch one wire, then the other end to the other wire.

    i did it on mine, and have no problems at all.

    Will it fail a mot if the airbag light is flashing?
