    any1 know where u can buy a butterfly valve exhuast from

    a lot of american cars have them but dont know of any supplier over here
    dont really see the point unless its turbod.

    just sounds like a big blow out and will make performace worse

    is a pipe that branches off from the exhust and has an electronically opened butterfly valve to let out the gases if on serious boost

    i've been looking for one to fit on my turbo, you can get boost controlled ones in america that open automatically when on boost so there quiet when driving normally

    not checked the link but is this not the same idea as an external wastegate and screamer pipe?

    basicly yes but its controlled unlike a screamer pipe its allways on where as this you could open and close it at will, plus its alot eayer to fit then converting my turbo with internal wastegate into a external wastegate

    u can get them so they fit to the rev counter, so say u set the valve to open at 2.5/3k rpm. when ur car idles the valve is closed and u get a normal sound, when u go over the 2.5/3k rpm u get the sporty noise.
